Account manager

About the role

A business insurance agency specializing in professional liability, cyber, D&O and technology company insurance, working with underwriters in Israel and in the London market, is hiring an account manager.

The account manager is the client's main contact at the agency, from the moment the policy takes effect through renewal and beyond. The role combines full responsibility for the satisfaction and retention of an existing client portfolio with growing and deepening it.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of a business client portfolio: answering requests, handling policy changes, supporting claims with the relevant parties.
• Managing the renewal process end to end: collecting updated information from the client, working with the underwriting team to obtain quotes, presenting the options to the client and closing.
• Getting to know the client's business in depth and identifying uncovered exposures, as a basis for expanding coverage.
• Working with underwriters and suppliers in Israel and abroad to secure favorable terms for the client.
• Negotiating with clients on engagement terms, premiums and service terms.
• Keeping full, up-to-date records in the CRM and tracking deadlines and renewal dates.
• Producing periodic reports on portfolio performance and retention rates, and identifying trends.

What you need

• • 1-3 years of experience managing business client portfolios - required.
• • Experience in general/business insurance or financial services - a significant advantage.
• • A bachelor's degree in law, economics, business administration or a related field - an advantage.
• • Basic English. A large part of the work is with the London market.
• • Analytical skills, comfort working with data and the ability to read and understand policy documents.
• • Highly organized, able to manage several processes in parallel under deadlines.
• • Experience with CRM systems - an advantage (Zoho CRM - a further advantage).
• • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive approach.
